The Drey
Our nurture groups take place in The Drey and they are run by two qualified Nurture Assistants. The Drey is available for children in Years 1-6 throughout their time at HWPS, and supports children with developing their social, emotional and developmental needs. A boxall assessment and parent questionnaire is carried out before and after the intervention has run. The group sessions will run for a term with a maxiumum 8 children at a time within 3 groups: KS1, Lower KS2 and Upper KS2.
Each session begins with an emotional check-in. After this, the sessions are tailored based on the targets the children in each group need to achieve.
After their sessions have ended, the children receive a certificate and a progress sheet to show how well they have achieved and a chance for their success to be celebrated. Their targets are then continued to be worked on within their class setting.
